Can I Pay My Utility Bill Online?

If your account is delinquent, disconnected, or in the disconnect process, you MUST contact our office BEFORE you make a payment. Services will not automatically be restored or prevent disconnection if payment is made without contacting our office FIRST! Any payment made after 12:00 p.m. on the disconnect date will be subject to be cut off.

Lobelville Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 915 people, 400 households, and 261 families residing in the city. The population density is 89.7/km² (232.5/mi²). There are 464 housing units at an average density of 45.5/km² (117.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 97.70% White, 0.22% African American, 0.33% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.55% from other races, and 0.98% from two or more races. 0.55% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 400 households out of which 30.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.5% are married couples living together, 12.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.8% are non-families. 31.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 17.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.29 and the average family size is 2.87.

In the city the population is spread out with 24.7% under the age of 18, 5.5% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 25.7% from 45 to 64, and 16.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 90.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 84.7 males.

The median income for a household in the city is $26,193, and the median income for a family is $31,389. Males have a median income of $28,750 versus $21,683 for females. The per capita income for the city is $15,549. 19.8% of the population and 14.3% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 20.6% of those under the age of 18 and 12.6% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

Any person planning to excavate in the Lobelville area should call Tn OneCall at 811.  This call will notify all utilities in the area to locate their utilities before you dig.  Call three working days before you dig; the city will locate utility lines for you free of charge!  If you fail to call and hit some utilites you will be responsible for the cost of repair.

Yes!  It is the Buffalo River Review www.buffaloriverreview.com and is based in Linden.

Is there a library in Lobelville?

Yes!  And it is part of the County library system, as well as the State lending library system.  If they do not have the book you are looking for, they will be able to obtain it for a small fee.
